::HOOSIER - 6 weeks old:: Indianapolis PUPPY Photographer

My friend Sarah, you know, the one I went to Africa with in January, called me last week and asked if I would go to Kentucky with her to pick up her and her boyfriends new puppy...of course I said YES! I love spending time with Sarah...she's such a great friend and we always have a great time together and who doesn't LOVE a good road trip! :) Anyways...this is one of THE CUTEST PUPPIES I have ever seen!! Seriously ADORABLE! Makes me want a puppy of my own :) Hoosier is a male weimaraner with gorgeous eyes and the cutest little tail! He was actually very good on the car ride back to Indianapolis. He only whined occasionally and he didn't pee or poop in the car which is always an accomplishment! :) Anyways...I hope you enjoy they few sweet shots I got of Sarah and her new puppy Hoosier! ::ISLA - 11 DAYS:: Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

Say hello to Isla! She is 11 days old and so squishy and cute! I have been friends with her mother a few years now and I was super excited when her husband contacted me to surprise her with this session! The S family has another daughter named Ava who is almost one and such a cutie...walking and talking and running around! She was good in front of the camera today too! I was holding little Isla while my friend Rachel Vanoven was catching a few quick shots of her! Go check out her blog to see all the fun we had!

::SOCIAL SHOOTOUT-INDY PUG:: Indianapolis Newborn-Child-Senior-Family Photographer

This past week Indy PUG got together downtown at the canal for a little creative shooting and tons of fun for the fellow photogs that showed up! We had 10 poses we were supposed to get and our goal was to shoot 5 poses/images in 2 minutes and really think about the shot before you took it(cutting down on post production and just the over all efficiency or your business). It's actually harder than it sounds! I actually took the directions the wrong way and tried to get as many of the 10 poses in the 2 minutes as possible...go figure...I would be the one to screw it up!! Needless to say I still got some good shots and I really learned a lot about posing and working with other photographers is always a treat! Below are some of my favorite shots of the evening! 

::ASSISTANT:: Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

On Friday I had the opportunity, again, to work with a friend and fellow photographer Rachel Vanoven. She specializes in newborns and offers 1:1 mentoring and much more...on friday she needed an assistant for the 3 newborns coming in throughout the day and she let me sneak in a few shots! 

::RED ROCK:: Colorado Nature Photographer

For those of you that know me, know that I LOVE going to Colorado! There are so many wonderful things to do there...especially when it comes to being outdoorsy/one with nature! You can do so many things year round...Hit the mountains, (I personally am a skier although I don't hold it against you if you are a boarder!), go hiking, biking, running, jogging, climbing, sight seeing, etc. The scenery is just beautiful. On a resent trip to Colorado my husband and I went to Red Rock. It's am amphitheater where they hold concerts and when not being used turns into an AMAZING WORKOUT SPOT! The views are fantastic and it's free! Anyways...Here are a few pics from Red Rock! Hope you love them!

::LUKE:: Indianapolis/Zionsville Newborn Photographer

You all got to meet baby Luke last week but his tummy wasn't very happy and he didn't want to sleep at all! I was not able to get all the shots I wanted so we rescheduled and my amazing friend and fantastic photographer, Rachel Vanoven came a long with me today! She's such a great person to work with...always helpful from blanket choices and posing all the way to the edits! I can't even begin to thank her enough for the priceless information she shares! Back to the session...Luke was much better this time around even being almost a month old...He pretty much rocked it out!! :) Allison and family, It was a pleasure photographing you first child! ::LUKE:: Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

I took on my first "solo" newborn shoot this morning! I was a bit nervous and a lot excited! A friend of mine had a handsome baby boy 13 days ago and I was more than happy to do this session for her. :) Baby Luke gave me a run for my money...he was not in the mood to go to sleep! He was in and out all morning but I think we got some great shots! Enjoy your sneak peak... :)

Zionsville Seniors 2012 - CLAIRE :: MAGGIE :: NATALIE :: PAIGE - Indianapolis Senior Photographer

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to hang out with some fellow photographers (we met via Facebook!) from the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. We headed to Zionsville to shoot 4 amazing girls who will be SENIORS in 2012! I had a lot of fun on this session as we all just got to pose and pose and pose the heck out of these gorgeous girls! They were up for anything and had great clothing options throughout the shoot! I had a great time getting to know them from behind the lens!
